My father had parkinsons, and died due to multiple strokes brought on by the effects of Parkinsons..
... ..my friend who lives at the end of my road and only in his early 50's has it too... and just this last month he's had to give in and get a mobility scooter.. whereas he held out for as long as he could, just using a walking stick.. but he would only get 4 or 5 steps before he'd be stopped in his tracks for anything up to 10 minutes.. so even walking just a mile took forever, so now he's got his scooter... he's found a freedom again
