Parasite...The Movie

Comedy??...I suppose a little, but nothing that made me laugh, must admit though gave up after about an hour...be interested in others' opinions if go and see it...to think was considered more worthy than.."Judy" "1917" "The Joker" etc etc...but that`s just me , maybe I am wrong?

You're not "wrong". People like what they like and for various reasons.

I liked it. There was a certain amount of very dark humor. Mainly it was about the naive "haves" and the conniving "have nots" but there as a lot more going on, some of it shocking and unexpected. It was never boring, anyway.

I'm no authority on movies; I haven't seen many these past several years. I've come to dislike what comes out of Hollywood.. I just thought I'd offer some feedback.

been watching Russian movies, documentaries...different, made for a fraction of Hollywood movies, much slower pace, take forever to get to
climax.
BUT, no car chases, blown up buildings, random violence...
haven't watched any war movies, that was Russian's glory days.

don't grasp Russian's love for 'their motherland', scratch a Russian and you will find dirt, they love the Russian soil, the motherland, guess you have to
be a Russian to understand.

My honorary grand-daughter (age 31 or 32) loved it and was so happy when it won. I read about the plot and basically the outcome on Wikipedia so it spoiled me from wanting to see it. Didn't sound like my cup of tea anyway. But neither did Slumdog Millionaire. My husband and I got free movie tickets on Tuesdays courtesy of Cablevision, so we decided to go see it due to the hype. I loved the movie and it won 8 Academy Awards. There have been so many Oscar picks, however, that have made me go WTH were they thinking?!
