parking lot gripe

most times i return carts when grocery shopping. if the weather is lousy, i probably won't. if i'm rather far from the drop off spot, possible won't. but i never leave a cart where it renders a space unusable. i'll leave the cart at the juncture of the lines beside the car and the line that runs in front. today, i did something i have never done. i was aiming toward an empty space, when women in next aisle rolled her cart smack dab into the center of the space and s gonna leave it there! i did a gentle beep! beep! and waved to indicate she should move the cart out of the way. she moved the cart, i didn't get killer or receive "the finger".

where to you leave a cart in parking lot if you don't take it ll the way back to where it belongs?

No never. But then I normally use the carts that you can attach to a wheelchair and park in the disabled bay which is next to where you leave the cart. On the other hand I haven’t been inside a store for a year now because of Covid. I order online and have home delivery. Miss going to the store

I think the return your cart and get your 25 cents back at Aldi’s is the best idea. I seldom do this because I usually pass on my cart to someone going into the store.
Most of my car dings have been in Publix parking lot from the carts rolling around in the wind.
£1 here to take a trolley from Aldi's as well as most of our supermarkets ..returnable of course but also you can use a trolley 'coin'...

I do return the cart to the corral. But I do notice that some who use the handicapped spots to park do not as the corral is usually central in the lot and the handicapped spots near the door.

They should come up with some system to secure the cart in those handi spots.

I always push my cart back to either the inside of the store, where there's an area for carts, or I push my cart to one of the covered carts corrals.

Takes but a minute.

Then again, we do live in a lazy society today, hence loose shopping carts scattered all about in parking lots.

Many of our grocery stores require a loonie ($1) to use a cart. It’s refunded when you return it to the stall. Maybe that trained most of us, because I can’t remember the last time I saw a wayward cart.

Have to say, I’m fanatical about returning a cart. It’s rather hilly here so I don’t want my cart to roll into someone else’s car or vice versa. I have dings in my car from that.
