Satire is a big thing here in the UK. We have a number of TV and radio programmes, including Have I got News for You, The Now Show, The News Quiz and others which I suspect some Americans here would find rather shocking for mainstream TV.
Personally I like the rough and tumble, the 'anything goes' approach to politics and current affairs. It keeps us all on our toes, promotes free speech and makes life interesting. What fun would it be if everyone agreed after all?
Sadly this approach does not appear to be acceptable on this forum from what I can see. If some invisible line is crossed - well you are censored, or so it seems.
I posted a new thread here about Trump's Covfefe tweet - it is all over twitter, Facebook and other social media. People are quite rightly taking the piss out of him because the PRESIDENT of the United States did something to clumsily dumb. Not as dumb as dropping out of the Paris Climate agreement, which he seems to be about to I grant you, but it was an action that no President deserving of your respect, let alone the rest of the world's - most of which laughs at him on the one hand an lives in fear of him causing some catastrophe with the other.
So I posted a thread, poking fun at him. This morning it appears to have been deleted. Censored in other words.
I'll pop back to see if I have missed something and I've been dumb in not finding it, but otherwise I'm outa here.
