Pastor Ray Minniecon encourages indigenous Australians to get vaccinated

Because their lifestyle (communal) and living conditions (crowded and remote) our indigenous communities are particularly vulnerable to communicable diseases. When someone dies in an outback community they hold "sorry business" ceremonies and relatives from far and wide return to be with family during the period of mourning. With them can come infectious diseases picked up in the cities. A long way away from hospitals, the result can be devastating for the community. Until the virus arrives there seems to be no reason to get vaccinated. After it arrives it is too late to avoid many deaths.

Pastor Minniecon, a Uniting Church minister, talks to "his mob" in words that they can understand and identify with. I reckon he speaks to all of us, even those of us who live in the big smoke.
