Hi, Terry! Thanks for the Welcome. I lived in League City for 9 months. Wow, does it ever get steamy down there! Just thinking of it makes me look forward to the coming snow!Welcome from Houston! Actually I am in the Clear Lake area but a Houston address.
Yes, the whole area is all smashed together, isn't it! I am sorry you lost an old friend from there. Glad you were able to get that last visit in though! I need to go offline now, but hope to continue our conversation when I have time to spend on the computer again! Take care.Know League City well as my doctors are there and a close friend died while living there. We worked together for 15 years and I got to visit with her at her home in League City before she died.
Welcome to the forum Tally .... I'm also in Houston.

So I slept on it and decided to "crawl back under my rock." I need to find a local outlet where I can be of some use. There are only so many hours in a day and I have decided to cut my electronics time along with my tv-watching reduction. In my brief time here, I have met some great people. It's good to know you all are "out here!" Take care and stay well! Ciao!Hi, Everyone. I have lived by myself for 30 years and love it. I am a solitary and an old political hippie chick. I have lived a life of peace in nature and in mountains, 20 years in now. I read, take online courses, raised-bed and pot garden, do what chores I can when I can, and have all kinds of projects in addition to continuous bird/wildlife watching. In the past, I have volunteered for literacy, a museum's orinthology lab, a suicide prevention hotline, a medical care clinic, and Meals on Wheels. I can no longer cross-country hike and miss it. I do use a treadmill and a stationary elliptical bike with stretches and additional exercises every day (don't use it=lose it). What brings me out of my seclusion to an online venue is the missing socialization which I used to keep grounded before Covid-19. I miss travel - new people, experiences, and ideas and old friends who live far away. I manage some chronic health conditions, living despite them. I grew up in politics and tend to disappear if anything near the subject comes up now. The same for religions. I have learned lessons from a multitude of mistakes, but most of all, for me, I have learned that walking a path of curiosity, respect, and gratefulness is best. And as long I am alive, I will allow myself the choice to be open to personal growth and emotional honesty. I hope to find some fellow travelers here!
Take care and stay well! Ciao!
