Pet Cemeteries

Why do we bury our departed loved ones in a cemetery? A primary purpose is to provide survivors with an opportunity to grieve and gain a sense of closure. The cemetery is a place for the living as much as it is a place for the dead.

Our children grew up with dogs, and now they have their own pets. When they die, they are either burried on our property or cremated and their ashes kept in beautiful boxes. All of them are listed in my pet diary, and they will always be remembered. When one of my daughter's Pit Bull died, she came home about every week to place some flowers on Bella's grave. Our pet cemetery is one of the reasons why our children are so attached to their parent's house. The "Dads Pack" picture is actually a large blanket the children gave me for Christmas. Another picture shows me with my present Boxers and my three year old grandson's Beagle puppy.
