Pet Psychic

I met a woman who worked for a psychic hotline once and she told me she would just said whatever she could make-up right then and there. I don't believe in it. If anything rings of truth it is probably a coincidence. I watched a show once where they analyze this psychic going around the audience telling them things she was supposed to know about them and you could count how many times she got them wrong - yet people only focus on the ones she was able to get right.

FWIW, my friend's DIL only passed the time of day with the pet psychic and didn't exchange any personal information such as where she lives, whether she has kids, where she works, or that they're going on vacation and had arranged for the dog to stay with my friend. All she said was what a nice day it was. The pet psychic reading was free, she didn't ask any questions except the dog's name, and she wasn't trying to upsell.

I'm a skeptic, too, but this was really odd. The DIL thought it was "creepy". DIL went to the pet store to buy dog food, and that's all she bought there.

I knew a coworker who went to a psychic fair, she said she had her fortune told and will never do that again. When we asked her what the psychic said, she actually walked away from us very upset, and said she would not talk about it.
