Here in the UK.. prices of fuel varies depending on where you buy it. The Esso garage a mile away could be very different prices from the BP garage a mile in the opposite direction.. Supermarkets forecourt fuel prices are generally cheaper than dedicated Petrol garages.. ( fuel stations, like BP..shell etc)
Our fuel prices like everyone else's shot up in price during the Covid era.. and unlike everywhere else we also had the double whammy of brexit causing prices to increase.. since then we saw a drop by as much as 15 p on the LITRE.. still not down to pre covid/Brexit prices, but more manageable at approx £1.36 per litre on Unleaded... and more for super unleaded..
However without any word in the media.. I've noticed that the prices are increasing again very quickly..
Our local supermarket which tends to be the cheapest in the area for fuel.. is now selling Unleaded at £1.46 per LITRE.. that's £6.57 per gallon ( 4,5 litres per uk gallon)... and the US equivalent of $8.34 approximately... and even more expensive at BP,,,shell or Esso garages...
I can still get Petrol for £1.35 at Costco.. but Costco isn't in my nearest town, so I have to drive quite a way to get it, and unless I'm doing shopping in that area already ..it doesn't make economic sense to drive that far...
Anyone else notice fuel sneaking up again in price ?
