Photographs of unusual cars or other motor vehicles

I loved the technical achievement here. How he got those twin engines, transmissions and rearends to synchronize, I'll never now, but it did run and was street-able.

Two side by side V8's, with their own trannies and drive shafts, and a custom built rear axle, with TWO differentials, linked by a cross link with u joints at each end. Driveable, but hardly a daily driver. JimB.

Not an unusual race car..........But the driver sure is...........Gary Elliott is STILL racing at age 76, in the East Coast Pro Stock Tour, and he has been sponsored by Quaker State FOR FIFTY CONSECUTIVE YEARS, in 2023. He still is competitive with the 20 year olds, and this summer he will race 26 times, 24 times on the East Coast of Canada, and 2 invitational races back in Ontario where he raced for most of his career in 5 different types of oval race cars. He was recently inducted into the Canadian Motor Sports Hall Of Fame in 2022. Over the course of his career he has raced at 47 different tracks in Canada and the USA. He has not missed a race event in 19 years. He has won 17 annual class championships, and was voted "the best appearing car " by the fans a total of 22 times.

Here is a link to Gary Elliott Motor Sports website. Take the time to read and admire his 2023 Monte Carlo Quaker State paint job. Lionel die cast cars has produced 15,000 of his car in scale size. Gary and his girl friend were flown from Halifax to Atlanta last week end, to be a part of the Quaker State sponsorship gala. He was the only Canadian driver to be there, on stage. link. https://garyelliottmotorsports.com/

He is known as The Iron Man, at age 76, for running 150 to 300 lap races in the summer heat. I have known Gary since 1973. JimB.
