Thanks for sharing your spectacular photos, @Marian
Coyotes could be dangerous but they generally hide. I was lucky to get a shot of them. I don’t usually see any. I saw a rattlesnake once years ago, but never again. The snakes I see aren’t poisonous. The biggest danger is getting lyme disease from deer ticks or zika virus from mosquitoes, I think. You live in a spectacular area, Marian.
Are there any possibly dangerous animals?
Thanksluv the fox
If people aren’t feeding the coyotes, they‘ll probably keep their distance. We’ve had problems with them attacking little dogs because of habituation.Coyotes could be dangerous but they generally hide. I was lucky to get a shot of them. I don’t usually see any. I’ve heard about them eating pets. Most people around here don’t even know that they’re in the park. I don’t usually tell people about all of these animals for the very reason you’ve brought up. They feed them and before you know it hoards of people are crowding the park looking for all of these animals and it frightens them away. Unbelievably to me, hardly anyone ever visits this park! Sometimes I’m the only one there besides the park workers. I hope it stays that way.If people aren’t feeding the coyotes, they‘ll probably keep their distance. It seems like the little things that could be the most dangerous.
Thanks BenGreat shots, Marian!
Absolutely gorgeous area, it is! Stopped there every time I was going anyplace on the East coast of USA. They have some wonderful spots for camping on that peninsula.I have the Chesapeake bay![]()
A welcome addition, or an invasive?Coyotes (new to the park)

Thank you so much for your kind commentLife is so much better and so much more rewarding when we get out into nature. Our minds become clearer and our blood pressure decreases. That is just the opposite for those starring at their smartphones or computers all day.
I have purchased a yearly parking pass to our provincial parks this year for the 3rd year again. I hope to see some of "God's little creatures" out there. Thanks for the lovely photos. It does my little heart a world of good to see them.
what's your tortoise called and how old is he ?Some of the animals who share my yard
