Pick Blueberries Day - July 10th

Itā€™s definitely not ā€˜pick blueberries dayā€™ here where we live. Itā€™s about a month or more too early and our wild plants arenā€™t nearly that tall.
 
While stationed in Winter Harbor Maine I & other sailors
would go Blueberry Raking to make extra money...this was
low ground blueberry however....
 
My blueberries are just starting to ripen. I check them daily and pick what are ripe. My 8 bushes are loaded this year with big and juicy ones!
 
I think I'll just go to the farmer's market Wednesday. I'd love to pick some. We used to go to Watsonville, Ca where you could pick your own berries. They'd weigh your containers and take you out and back on the tractor.
