Picture of Jesus left standing in North Nashville home after tornado hits

It's nice that Jesus was looking out for him and his mother, but if he was really looking out for them, wouldn't he have prevented their home from being destroyed in the first place? Or was he only partially looking out?

Sorry, but that's my reaction to this sort of nonsense.

Mine, too. I get an even bigger chuckle when people see Jesus in a slice of toast, the clouds, a tree, etc.
People see what they want to see. I say, whatever gives them comfort.

That’s a good approach to understanding what people need in distressed times.

Actually, the Bible's description of Jesus is nothing like the traditional Jesus we've been "fed". It has been alleged that the picture of Jesus we see hanging in most churches is actually a re-adaptation of sorts of Cesar Borgia.

Cesare Borgia lived in the very early 16th Century. Plenty of depictions of Jesus for the past 1,000 years+ before Cesare, who was a handsome devil, btw.
