Dorset is further South here... it's a beautiful coastline nicknamed the Jurassic coast due to the Jurassic and Triassic fossils which can be found there. Unfortunately I didn't get to that part of the coast this time..

For those that don't already know I stayed on a Camp ground.. in a 12/28 Caravan... the first 2 days were stormy... the 3rd and 4th Hot and sunny.. albeit breezy.....

I spent most of my time travelling around visiting beaches , harbours and ports..

The Port in the town I was staying is Poole.. and has direct sailings to France, therefore all signs are in French and English...

The campsite had a small shingle beach where little boats could sail... the site had about a 1000 Caravans on it.. but mine was very close to the small beach.. this was the view... taken early evening after a very wet day...

So glad for you that you were able to break your routine. You needed this. It's lovely.
I absolutely did need the break , there's no doubt about that... just so frustrated that there was no internet...so I'm going to book another trip for later in the year to somewhere else and make certain there's Internet

This peninsular is known as Sandbanks. Across the bay is Poole where Holly enjoyed her recent soiree. The lady is right about Poole, it always has that poor relation of the area feel about it. The strangest thing is though, Sandbanks is the most expensive land in the entire world.

What price would you put on this Sandbanks property? Try £13.5 million. Called North Haven Point, the home is spread over 2,909 square feet, meaning that, per square foot, it cost a mind-boggling £4,640. Sandbanks has long been one of the UK's most desirable – and expensive, places to live.
To put that land price into perspective, the most expensive land in central London is around £1760 per square foot and in Manhattan the price is roughly $1000 or £770 per square foot.
Click here to see what is, for the price, all the rooms, garden and view, a rather humble building.
Holly said in a post about her break, just recently, that she didn't care much for Sandbanks. Have to say, I totally agree with her. I live about fifteen miles north-west of that area and I can tell you that there are plenty of much nicer places and although the area is quite expensive, homes can still be within budget.
