A pilot lands a plane on a busy Florida highway hitting a car then crashing the plane. A miracle no killed or seriously hurt.

I don't know if I want to commend the pilot for this landing instead of crashing elsewhere. I-95 is a very busy highway being the major north south highway in Florida on the east coast. Wouldn't it be best or more honorable lets say to avoid potential civilian casualties rather than wing it(pun intended) on a known busy highway?
 

I remember years back, a plane full of passengers attempted to make an emergency landing on a busy highway. Unfortunately, the pilot lost control and the plane crashed. I’m not sure if there were survivors. The plane was an older model that was smaller than what I flew. When I saw the video, it dawned on me that he may have had better success with attempting to land on a level piece of ground. It has been done. It takes a pilot with a lot of experience and patience to make that landing.
 

I watched that on the news last night as breaking news. I couldn't believe it & at that time they had no info about the people on the plane or in the car. That was a pretty wild video. I can't imagine that the person with the in-car camera was thinking when it happened.

I've always glanced in my mirrors when I've driving to see what's going on around or approaching me, but this was one no one could have seen coming their way.
 
I was going to post about this. It is indeed a miracle that there were no fatalities! But I was thinking after seen the video....how lightweight must that plane have been to not cause more damage to that car (?) :unsure: Decades ago when I was on an elevated highway while in the field, a full sized airplane flew really close to the car in front of me and seeing that was scary as hell. I can imagine even more so to the other car's driver. We was close to an airport and the plane was starting its descent for landing. It wasn't a busy highway and I was several car lengths behind the car.
