Pittsburgh synagogue gunman gets death penalty

He's been alive for 5 years since he committed this heinous crime.. that should be enough.. he should just be taken to the death chamber...I know he won't , but in the circumstances where there is no doubt as to the perpetrators guilt.. there should be no access to appeal..
The federal constitution does not mandate State Appeals process, but once commenced, Due Process must be satisfied. There is only 1 State I know of without an inferior Court of Appeals. All go through that state Supreme Court.

yep I know the law with regard to the death penalty genrally.. IMO it's a law that should be changed with regard gultiy beyond any doubt.. and those killers should be taken immediately from the court and put to death

Hurrah! This is good news. In Canada, he might have been given a 3 year term and maybe let off for good behaviour. We don't like to upset our prisoners because all Canadians know that prisoners are just misunderstood people who really mean no harm.

Got love a country like that!

He is exaggerating, the guy will get life, that unfortunately means 25 years and out. Then he might be classed as a dangerous offender and never get out, like Paul Bernardo.

I feel if you wantonly kill another human being, you have signed your death warrant. I don't see any benefit in keeping your sorry ass alive more than we absolutely needed to.
I agree, problem is the courts don't always get it right.

Innocent people have been wrongly convicted and executed. To me that is far worse than the murders committed by those on death row. I would like to see a quicker process, but also one that better prevents these wrongful executions. It's the reason I am ambivalent about the death penalty. I have no problem executing actual murders... and don't much care how its done.

Although politically I have always been on the left side of the political spectrum, nevertheless, I have always been in favor of the death penalty. This puts me at odds with others of my party at times. But it comes from living in New York City for 15 years. Shootings were a daily occurrence it seemed. Murders and rape were constant. When I was living in NYC, no one, absolutely no one, was calling out to defund the police. We were always asking for more police. Didn't matter if you were Democrat, Republican, Liberal, Conservative, or Independent. We all were sick and tired of the crime. To this day, I have no compassion for murderers.

Execute the killer. That's what he deserves.

Although I am nearly always opposed to the death penalty, in this case my reaction was "Hooray!" There is no murky area, no "shadow of a doubt." This guy wanted to bring back Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. Good riddance.

I totally agree that wrongly convicted were executed. If I were running the world, to obtain a death sentence, the prosecution would have to make an airtight case, using only forensic evidence ( no confessions, nor witness statements), and with highest level of certainty that the accused was guilty.
