Supposedly tomorrow from 9pm to 5am.

Luckily it's not as hot. I'm in an upstairs apartment that doesn't get the afternoon sun. I got a letter about it so I don't have anything in the freezer.

I do have a few things in the fridge: Plant milks and vegan mayonnaise and ranch dressing. Might those items last? I'm not worried about mustard and teriyaki sauce.

Should I put those items in the freezer? I'm making some extra ice to put in containers. I thought that would help. Worse case scenario I'd have to throw those items out.

Could be lots of things. Avoiding triggering wildfires, banking power in batteries for the daytime load of A/C and EVs, etc.

I'm not sure we know the real reasons. California power companies are being very secretive about it all. Election year?

You’ve got some great ideas here. Your things will be fine as long as you don’t keep opening and closing your fridge. Freezing some containers of water and putting them in the freezer is a great idea. We sure have some smart resourceful members here on this forum. You really should be fine Remy

Those propylene glycol "icepacks" used for coolers can hold more cold than plain water. If you have some around you can use those too.
