HI,
I'm currently in England visiting a girlfriend but am returning to Iowa this week (God willing).
My deceased husband was a member of a local fraternity until his death two years ago (overwight 70 year olds don't tend to live very long, what a surprise). I never really got along with the other wives of the fraternity members, mostly because women weren't allowed to their events. These events usually involved bi-weekly campfires out near the woods, target practice and occassionally travelling to other states to take place in marches and what not. On the plus side, since Bob's death I amd doing a lot less white laundry.
In any event, I thought it would be a good idea to invite the ladies over for a Schnapp's night at my house and maybe we can play bridge in groups. I have a nice stereo so I can play music from the 50s and 60s for the group (these are old women, some in their upper 80s, think Leave it to Beaver mentality). Th problem is I don't know too many Schnapps or cocktail mixes and could use some advice. I came across these ideas but could use some more advice:
Purreed peach, 50ml of Peach Schnapps, 1/2 flute of Prosecca served in a wine glass. the "Peachy Prosecca"
Sour apple Schnapps served with whiskey and a stick of cinnamon over ice. The "Kentucky Schnapp"
Cranberry Schnapps mixed with 50ml of Vodka and 50 ml Whiskey and iced tea in a one-pint glass and ice. The "Jersey Bog Tea"
Citrus Schnapps with Jose Cuervo and ice, served with a dollup of hot tobassco sauce on top. The "Dirty Sanchez Schnapps". Not sure if this is a good idea because I get the sense a lot of the ladies dont care fo the large amount of immigrants we've received in recent years from Central America but I don't see their kids working at the chicken processing center. Hypocrits.
Again thoughts would be welcome.
