Plans for Easter Dinner (if you're observing this holiday)

I have a pork loin the the freezer and will augment that with yamkin (combo of sweet potatoes and pumpkin)* and probably Brussels sprouts.

I do not know as yet if church will have their after service brunch on Easter. I've already suggested to the organizer that it be suspended on Easter because most people will be anxious to get home and will have a big meal there.

* 1 can of sweet potatoes (yams), 1 equal sized can of pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie mix). Mash together, season to taste and heat in microwave.

Not certain here if doing anything. It is a holiday I usually travel "home" for but probably won't be doing that this year. It is hard as it is one of my favorite holidays to see as much family as possible. So may be bummed, will see I guess.

When I do go, we do a very traditional meal of ham, ham gravy, mashed potatoes, corn, dinner rolls and a pie or cake or two. That's at minimum. There are a few other dishes some request and one or another of us sometimes make and bring as well. Usually some snacky stuff too and a bowl of Easter candy for all.

I do have a daughter here (in the area I mean) but unsure yet if they have plans for his side or not.

The rest of my family we are a few hours away from.

I do actually have most of the things I mentioned above but doubtful I'll make them for myself, but if I want to, I guess I can.

I don't celebrate Easter with any kind of food... not now I'm on my own... the following week however, we have a double celebration, it's mine and my daughters' joint birthday celebrations and we're going to a high end restaurants with friends...

However this year Easter Sunday is on my Mother birthday.... 🥰

I’ll do an extremely scaled down mini feast of ham, kielbasa, pierogies in butter and onions, cabbage salad, maple glazed carrot coins or asparagus.

Not sure about dessert, tart lemon bars would be nice or a slice of carrot cake. I’ll check the local Wegman’s bakery for a single serving grab ‘n’ go treat.
Kielbasa?... what be that, bea?

We will probably have a traditional turkey dinner with roast potatoes, yams and carrots as well as steamed broccoli. Chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert.

Note: I’ve been told that ham is traditional for Easter Sunday.

A normal, traditional Easter dinner centers on a roasted, glazed ham or leg of lamb, often accompanied by spring vegetables, potatoes, and bread. Common sides include scalloped potatoes, asparagus, glazed carrots, and deviled eggs, usually finished with desserts like carrot cake or lemon-flavored sweets

Ham (gotta have ham, after all, it's Easter!) and kielbasa also, and DH will be doing up steaks on the charcoal grill.

Some haluski, some potato salad, and mac & cheese for the grandkids.
I think the veggie will be green beans.

Dessert and anything else... to be determined.
We first have to know how many are coming! Right now we are at 10, but we may have as many as 20 :)
