Plastic On The Furniture

Who remembers plastic on the furniture. And plastic runners on the rug too!

I had a few friends that had plastic on their furniture. We never did at my house.

I don't remember plastic covers, but I do remember that my aunt had a suite actually made of plastic. It was very uncomfortable to sit on and of course, the heat from your body would cause the plastic to expand, so it quickly lost its shape.
I have plastic runners in my hallway, which of course is sensible.

I remember the plastic covered lampshades, usually covered with years of dust and yellow nicotine.

I prefer old electrified oil lamps with glass student lampshades similar to these.

YES. I had an Aunt who did this AND she also had everyone take off their shoes before entering said abode...lol

Yes, I remember my grandmother did. My mother may have for a while, but not the whole time I was living at home, if my memory serves me correctly.
