Thank you Butterfly. His sister said they aren't quite sure what happened maybe he skid to avoid hitting a deer or something. It was at night he was just laying there when someone found him.
 

Appreciate the update. It sounds like he isn't quite out of the woods yet, sorry to hear his injuries are worse than originally believed. Praying that he survives this terrible accident! Hugs to all.
 
Just got this update from his sister :( -

He seems to be not fighting very hard the past few days. At first you coukld tell he was fighting it but doctors say there's less fight now. I am not sure if its that he's in so much pain or if he has just decided its not worth it. He has said his wife's name a few times and tears come down his cheek. It's just awful to watch. So hard on everyone but most of all him. The littles I'm sure you mean his great-niece-and-nephew, we don't want them to see him like this, with the tubes everywhere and the road burns and bruising and machines and metal everywhere, so we played him video messages from them but it just made him cry. The nurses say "it's not unusual" when tears run down trauma patients cheeks so I'm not sure he's crying but it sure seems so to me. This is why it's hard for us to know what to do but We keep trying everything we can think to get the fight back in him. Doctors are deciding if thy should go ahead with surgeries on the lung and heart because they are not very invasive and might help with pain and get him off the breathing machine. They would also want to repair the flail chest but that is a more extreme surgury. It's all a matter of weighing risk against speeding his recovery, controlling fluid build-ups, and helping him breathe totally on his own at a point when he seems to be giving up. And maybe he's not giving up but he's just either tired of laying there, or all the medication is bringing him down, or both. I hope that's what it is because once they fix these issues they can cut the meds down.
I wish I had better news. Next time I will, God willing. if they do surgery it will be on monday morning. Prayers please!
 

Prayers for your friend and family and for you too. Very hard to watch someone suffer like that. As my Mother would sometimes say, "It's in the hands of the Good Lord". Hoping he is strong enough for the surgery.
 
I've decided to go ahead and say who the member in the bad accident is

I've based this decision on the fact that his sister told me she would appreciate all and any prayers we can get for him. The SF member who is hurt so badly from the motorcycle accident is 'Wrigley's '. Sometimes you will see his picture above ^ where he's wearing a cap & red Tshirt. He's having surgery right now, so any and all good thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

I've seen his picture above. I hope your friend will be alright and come through his surgery with flying colors. Thoughts and prayers going out to Wrigley and his family!
