Pockets

I need pockets, for my phone, dog treats, poop bags, and dl, they all have to go in separate pockets

Oh, I gotta have pockets

Small wallet, money clip, keys (phone if I have to)
All in my front pockets

Cargo shorts are my main stay in summer
Deeeep front pockets
Levis in winter

Even my sweats and bed shorts have pockets

Pockets, if nothing else, are great hand holsters

Heh, this thread reminds me of a poster I created in another life

I'm definitely a "pocket person" ... very much more so since the covid pandemic. I no longer carry a handbag or purse, prefer to be hands free to make it easier to sanitise. Now only require two pockets (tops or bottoms) with car key on one side ... credit/debit card in other. Wear a slim underclothes travel bag to carry phone and other essential ID stuff.

Haven't worn jeans in years, decades in fact, because I'm pear-shaped and jeans simply do not fit me, though member OneEyed, recommended a couple of brand names for me to try, but with jeans I was always okay with front and back pockets in my younger days.

As for shirts/tops, I prefer no pockets. My opinion of pockets, the more pockets, the sloppier the look.
Never been a fan of jeans either, denim simply has no appeal to me. Most of my clothes are hand made, there are what I call, functional pockets. The waistband of my trousers has pockets sewn inside for carrying my phone and wallet. It's good security and it keeps the trousers in shape, the original pockets remain flat.

One pocket that I do use though, is the shirt pocket, ideal for my reading glasses. But as I said, my clothes are hand made and the shirt pocket can made to disappear, when a talented lady makes the shirt.

Here's one of my Aloha shirts, can you see the pocket?

Look at the centre leaf pattern and you
will just about see the pocket stitching.

I have a love-hate relationship with pockets.

I prefer clothes with generous pockets but it's a constant battle to keep the things I carry in them to an absolute minimum.

Empty pockets will teach you a million things in life, but full pockets will spoil you in a million ways.
