Anyone else a fan of them?

When I was housebound & had to lie facedown for many days several times last year, I started listening to podcasts. There first few weren’t the best, but they did keep me distracted. Since then I’ve found many that I really like and I’m addicted.

When I have insomnia in the middle of the night, I’ll try to pick a bland one that distracts and keeps my mind from going around in useless circles. I set the timer for 30 minutes & if lucky won’t heard the end of the segment. Even if it doesn’t work, I’m not fretting about useless things.

Interviews with celebrities are certainly more candid than on tv.

Many interviews are educational.

I have one that is strictly nature sounds. Not the greatest. If anyone knows one with New Age music, I’d be interested.

There’s certainly something for everyone.

Try You Tube for New Age music.

The other night I fell asleep while listening to an audible book. The narrator got into my dream. I was trying to answer her questions but she kept talking and talking no matter how politely I tried to break in. Finally I yelled- "Shut the heck up!"..... and that woke me up.🤪

What’s your problem with Nick and Carol and
the Nick Abbot Habit

are my favourites.Great fun.
can be found on tunein radio app.

Thanks RadishRose, I‘ll definitely try that.

Tunein Radio app. Never heard of that app. Will try both of those too.

I carry my phone around the house with me in a little purse/bag so I can listen to podcasts. Guess this is my version of a transistor radio.

I subscribe to about 20 podcast. Most are niche but one general podcast I would recommend is Dan Carlin's Hardcore HIstory. They are very long and it takes a long time for him to produce him so they only come out a few times a year but they are very informative and entertaining. If there are any sports fans out there who also like to watch Pardon the Interruption then I would suggest Tony Kornheiser's daily podcast. He is just as grumpy on his podcasts and talks about things ranging from sports of course to the deer that like to invade his garden. Highly entertaining if you like him on PTI.
