Poland Mandates Firearms Training for School Children

Awesome.
1) Poland is already a fairly gun-friendly country, allowing modern firearms ownership under police-issued permits for people who provide a reason to own the gun, such as hunting, sport shooting, training, and collecting.

Civilians can also apply for self-defence permits, but these are awarded at the discretion of the police force.

Arms dealer Krzysztof Gasior, based in Gdansk, described Poland’s firearm laws as ‘probably the most liberal in Europe’ – saying in some ways it’s easier to get a gun licence than a driving licence.

Yet no school shootings, or mass event shootings. Talks about the state of the people in compared to say the US.

2) Russia is not gonna invade. What a load of horseshit.

But Im glad more are learning. Its a great responsibility and education for the youth.

fuzzy makes a good point.

The training should probably be expanded to include some basic self defense and survival skills in the event of war, occupation, natural disaster, etc…

IMO teaching similar, age appropriate, skills would be a good idea for all children including our own.

I’m not sure that couching it in terms of occupation by a particular country is a good idea or adds any value.
