I'm sorry to tell you this Holly, but there's way worse. Florida had cops as hired hit men for drug pushers, killing anyone they designated. They also used drugs and had sex parties where age wasn't discussed...am I living on another planet somewhere.. or are there more and more police officers committing Heinous crimes ?

the movie "Serpico" was based off real life problems in the NYPD. Cop in California would stop women. Pretend to take them to jail, rape and kill them then dump the bodies.
While your cops and ours are some brutish pricks, more good ones are out there, they're fighting against the "Old guard" that still exist and enlist the young recruits.
We have human beings as police, we'll never have perfect people.

I often feel like I'm living on another planet. This couple is way more disturbing than any characters I've seen on a Netflix horror movie!!!..am I living on another planet somewhere.. or are there more and more police officers committing Heinous crimes ?
A deputy police officer has been sentenced to 100 years in jail after allowing his wife to use his semen in cake batter.
Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office Deputy Dennis Perkins, 46, from Louisiana, US, pleaded guilty to 150 crimes on Tuesday including putting his semen into cup cakes which his teacher wife, Cynthia, 37, gave to her Westside Junior High School pupils.
The teacher was sentenced to 41 years in prison in February after she pleaded guilty to her role in her husband's heinous crimes, which included producing child abuse images.
She agreed to testify against her husband as part of her sentencing.
The former cop entered the plea to one count of second-degree rape, two counts of ****** battery of a child, one count of video voyeurism, two counts of production of child porn involving children under age 13 and one count of mingling of harmful substances.
The former SWAT commander and his wife were arrested in October 2019 after police found a picture of the couple naked with a child after a tip-off from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Perkins was sacked from his job and Cynthia, who taught had English language arts at Westside Junior High School since 2016, resigned from her role.
The teacher had previously worked at North Live Oak Elementary and Live Oak Middle School for four years.
Cynthia filed for divorce against her husband shortly after claiming he had manipulated her into committing the crimes.
A father of a student who ate the semen cupcakes admitted he is depressed and has not been able find a job since the horrific incident.
Whilst another parent and student have been deeply affected by the contaminated cupcake incident.
Their lawsuit revealed they have not been able to sleep since the incident and have suffered mental health problems as a result.
Cynthia, who was convicted in February, gave a lengthy apology to her victims before she was jailed.
She said: "I would also like to apologize to my three children. I haven't spoken to them in three years. I love them and I miss them, and I'm sorry."
However, one of her children described her mum as "horrible" and "manipulative."
Her child wrote: "My life is so much better without you."

D2E...I know what you mean! My husband used to ask me if the monsters in the horror movies didn't scare me. I told him No...the real life monsters are the ones that scare me.

In a similar way, when we were kids and afraid of ghosts as kids are , my mother ( a depressive).. always would ''calm'' us by saying.. there's nothing to fear from the dead, it's the living that you should fear.. ...sadly she was talking to children, .. and ironically we did fear our parents... however she was absolutely right.. Ghosts and Ghoolies are not something to fear.. but the evils of men and women are..

The cupcake additive thing makes for a great headline, but seems to me that alone should not justify such a long sentence... I think it was baked first, before anyone ate it. However,
It seems he was guilty of worse crimes.
Probably not in Louisiana, they take pedophilia pretty seriously. Can get a real life sentence, and before the Supreme Court stopped it even the death penalty sometimes... I suspect he is spending the rest of his life in Angola, probably as it should be.
