LOL about your statement that I bolded. It took the FAA an awfully long time to say these drones were "FAA approved". I don't know if I believe that. The question was asked by several entities when the sightings first started happening. Well, like I replied to someone...either our governor is keeping secret what he was told about what they are, or "they" were keeping him in the dark too. And if they were "FAA approved", why did the FAA put temporary restrictions on them?
I understand about not watching the news, even for those who have reception. There are ways to watch shows for free now and of course, you must know by now that YouTube has a lot of content, even movies.
I feel a need to control what goes into my brain. We're (as a society) as too often blase about what we let into our brain. This is the basis on control and group think. Social Media is now how group think is achieved. It gives the illusion of having an open mind while at the same time algorithmically taking control away from you. As a piece of social engineering, it's quite brilliant. As a society, it's a dumbing down.
The reality is, the type of indoctrination used on North Korea, Russia, and China has now gone mainstream in democratic society. People are being radicalized all over. People fight over news sources, they identify with the gatekeepers. We are told "mainstream media" is harmful and suspect, and that we should trade it all in for "alternative media", which is EXACTLY the same. Worse, that news with views and opinions that agree with you must me right and worthy.
It's all a grand scheme to dumb down society. But it's not an overall plan - it's simply a consequence of handing over what goes in to our brains to nonentities. There is no alternative media. None. Just a lower bar.
Truth is, I am in the UK. I didn't need to know about the New Jersey drones. There was nothing that could directly affect my life about it. In fact, much of what happens in the US has zero effect on me - so why let it in to my brain? I also can't be attuned to young people - and it's their world now.
Our world is run by mega-corporates. Many of them social media sites. That old system of generating and processing news wasn't perfect, but what it did have was/is checks and balances. But we hand it all over the Social Media that RELIES on that news daily. It's a madness.
