Poor customer service - they've lost MY business

I recently ordered a couple things from a place I’ve ordered things before. I tracked the order and USPS indicates the package was delivered on Saturday 5/2. Well, I never got it. I don’t know if it was left at the door and stolen or (most likely) mis-delivered. (We've had bad service from the post office in our area......mis-delivered, missing mail.)

I called the merchant customer service number and was told they would refund my credit card (which they have done). However, what I didn’t like was 1) there was no apology and 2) if I want to pay an extra $8.99 for expedited delivery I could re-order and they would “try again”. :wtf: ??

No, thanks. I’m not interested in giving the merchant or the USPS another opportunity to lose my items. They could/should have apologized and offered to waive the shipping charge.

They have lost my business, and I will not recommend them to anyone.
 

Down here USPS brings it to the door leaves a post card to pick it up at the post office..UPS drops it on the porch and runs away!!

But yes you should have got better CS!!
 
Ken, that's odd because here UPS always knocks and I haven't had a problem with UPS or FedEx. The thing is, on Sat I put a big note on the door "DELIVERY, PLEASE KNOCK HARD" (since I was expecting delivery on that day). That leads me to conclude someone else got my package.
 

All of my business is conducted through the USPS and they get it right 99.5% of the time. "Delivery Confirmation" tracking doesn't do much for you except give you some idea when the package will arrive.

I get great service from USPS. They ring my doorbell when they deliver a package and always put it in a location that doesn't show from the street to preclude theft.
 
I recently had a package mis-delivered to my house by USPS. I just took it down the street to the right address. BUT I don't think anyone would have been the wiser if I had just kept the package (not that I would ever do that, but an unscrupulous person might).
 
I haven't had any problems with USPS, sometimes they leave the package if I don't hear them knock, but luckily I've never had any issues with theft.
 
We're friends with our postal carrier, so our service is outstanding. But then we also get great service from both UPS and FedEx as well.

There was a period about 4 years ago when our UPS driver retired and a young UPS driver was on the route. He was lazy, and in the winter instead of driving up our driveway he'd toss the package in the ditch by the mailbox. It took 1 call to UPS to get him pulled from our route, and the current driver has been outstanding.
 
I've heard of worse customer service. At least they refunded.

I bought something once and it was broken on delivery. Poorly packaged. I did get a refund. But not the shipping. I guess I had to pay the shipping to have the item broke. I will say, I never ordered from them again.
