Poor rabbits need homes,

Duh, these people say they are ankle deep in rabbits, and yet, people are putting out food for them????? And they want $20,000 to capture all the rabbits , and bring them to someplace. Well, "someplace" is going to have a lot of starving rabbits. It's like those, who capture house mice and drive down the road to relocate them. Gee, thank you for all your unwanted vermin in our backyard.. While, they are cute bunnies, if you won't feed them, hunger and predators will lessen their numbers. Mother Nature is a harsh mother.

this is a former pet problem repeated over and over ... the snake problem in Florida is traced back to pets let go etc

My son and his wife have two rabbits and while i enjoyed my visit it was clear they are some work feeding and although litter box trained they tend to make a mess and one tried to scratch and chew items. so child gates everywhere. I enjoyed playing with the bunnies but was like they say " nice to visit but would not want to live there"

A friend of mine lives in Florida and she's been seeing rabbits near their parking spaces. She doesn't live in Ft. Lauderdale though. I'll have to find out if her area is overrun with them.

I'm sorry bunny lovers but we are so overrun with wild rabbits around here that I kill quite a few nearly every day. The hawks and eagles quickly take the expired rabbits to their nests to feed chicks and various other carnivors make meals of the rest. Occasionally I see a wild rabbit that is obviously a cross with somebody's domestic.

There are plenty of birds of prey in my area, that would love to take some home to share with their young. Sorry, I've been watching too many of those wildlife shows on BBC America.
