Pope Francis Declares Support for Exorcisms

Too bad they haven't mentioned support for the Ebola victims in Africa ... something with much larger numbers and a much more concrete basis in reality.

But, hey - Catholicism.

You mean this one??

Pope on homosexuals: 'Who am I to judge?'

I'm not sure ... they had some kind of a big annual meeting last month and, while he said that gay marriage was okay, a lot of people thought there was a hidden message.

Of course, it might have just been wishful hearing.

Is there actually hope the catholic church will move forward from the middle ages?

Pope Francis initially sounded as if did accept gay marriage along with his "who am I to judge" statement but quickly reiterated the church's longstanding opinion that "marriage is between a man and a woman."

Of course he didn't address the high divorce rate that accompanies heterosexual marriages.

THAT was it - thanks, Chris! I knew there was a turn-around somewhere in there. ;)

I'm an ex-catholic (since age 18) but my husband is still catholic and does go to mass most Sundays. He doesn't go to confession but he always takes communion. He is divorced. And he doesn't believe in all the churches rules. According to the catholic church my children are illegitimate because I wasn't married in the church. Whatever.
