This is really sad. But why is it in the Positive Thoughts thread? My female cousin was 37 years of age. Her and her husband were living a great life. One of them was unable to produce children. They never told anyone which one was infertile. One night like always, they went to bed. In the morning, he woke up at 6 like always. His wife was still asleep, so he decided to let her sleep. At 8, she was still asleep, so he decided it was time for her to wake up.
After trying several times to wake her up, he decided to call 911 and when he felt her corroded artery, there was no pulse, so he began CPR. When the paramedics arrived and gave her whatever tests they perform, they said she was unresponsive with no BP and decided to call for the Coroner. When the Coroner arrived and did his thing, he pronounced her.
She was only 37 years old. The Coroner said it happens that a person can be sleeping very sound and deep that their BP drops so low that the heart stops working. The Coroner also said that she may have had a heart problem that was unaware of.
One of my cousins died in his sleep at a very young age too. He used to take his children to visit his aunt, here in Jersey on Sundays. His mom and most of his siblings lived in S.C. Decades ago, his wife woke up one morning and he was dead in bed. He was also probably in his late 30s. My cousin (his aunt) worked at the hospital where they did the autopsy. Apparently the effects of chronic alcoholism is what got him. His wife never remarried and remained a beloved part of our family. She passed recently. My female cousin was 37 years of age. Much to my surprise, they did not perform an autopsy on my cousin. Her husband told me the Coroner called in the County ME for a second opinion and decided to only do a toxicology test, check her hair and to take a sample of the liver for a forensic pathology exam. Everything came back normal. He thought they were looking for poison. I can tell you I thought he was a great guy, but even great guys do egregious things. One of my cousins died in his sleep at a very young age too.
