I worked with a woman who used the 'n' word and mocked a woman with an accent when she would use the intercom. I said something to her every time but she appeared to not be smart enough to get it because she made these comments in front of me several times. I probably should have reported her to the front office but it's unlikely they would have done anything.
You can't imagine how happy i am to see someone post these with proper attribution. i actually have them posted on my homepage. i have the site bookmarked. All too often people will cite a line or two that Mother Teresa lifted, added her own spin to ('It was never about you and them but between you and God') and had painted on a wall of her facility in India. People are illogical, unreasonable & self-centered. Love them anyway.
If you do good, you'll be accused of an ulterior motive. Do good anyway.
If you are successful, you will win false friends. Succeed anyway.
The good you do today, will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
Honesty & frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest & frank anyway.
Big ideas can be shot down by small minds. Think big anyway.
People like underdogs but follow top dogs. Fight for the underdog anyway.
The years of building may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway.
Helping those who need help can get you attacked. Help anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and get a kicking. Give your best anyway.
Anyway, by Kent M. Keith.
Just don't let Croup and Vandemar catch you!Came across this on a long time cyber friend's page on FB. The author, Gaiman, is one of my favorite human beings. He is a prolific and multi-talented creator and he from all accounts a good person. I've saved this to my hard drive cause i like it so much. Consider this my New Year's wish for all of you!
