The Mormon Tabarnacle choir takes some beating... but I have a question, how do they get so many wonderul singers who are immaculately turned out , and all the same height ....lol

this song was sung by the Osmond famly at the funeral of Wayne Osmond last month .. which is how I came to hear it for the first time...

I'm not LDS but my father (may he rot in Hell) and his family were pioneer stock. One GGrandfather had plural wives each of whom had lots of children. That was quite common among early Mormons resulting in a lot of shared DNA even today. I've met a few cousins over the years and have been amazed how much we resemble each other.

I think you're on the wrong thread, Llynn

I love some of the old traditional hymns that I heard and sang at church as a kid, like "Rock of Ages", "The Old Rugged Cross", and many others. Half the time I didn't even know the subject of the hymns unless I was singing from a hymnal, and I'm not even a Christian. But I just love the sound of those old songs.

My mother really couldn't read music, yet she could sit down at a piano, look at the music from the hymnals, and play a very convincing rendition. We thought it was funny at the time, but she'd sung those hymns hundreds of times growing up in a small town church. What I wouldn't give to hear her play one again.

“Amazing Grace”
“Rock of Ages” (This hymn is sung at every one of my family member’s funerals or services.)
“How Great Thou Art”
”Holy, Holy, Holy”

Many more.

Oh, sorry; I didn't realize! It was the Vienna Boys Choir, "For Unto Us a Son is Born," from Handel's Messiah.
oh no don't apologise, you couldn't have known. very often it's how the uploader has set the countries they want it viewed in...
