Potato and cheese lasagna

Once in a while I like to watch Emeril Lagasse's cooking show, he makes everything look so easy. I happen to LOVE potatoes in any incarnation. I know, bad for you, but I don't eat potatoes EVERY day (that's my excuse). I haven't tried it yet, will soon after I buy the ingredients. Thought I would share. YUM!

That's a potato/cheese casserole. I fail to see any reason to call it lasagna, other than the layering, which we do with that type of casserole.

It uses 3 types of potato, layered in sequence, thus the name of ''lasagna'', which is a layering in sequence. Emeril calls it lasagna. No matter the name, it still looked delicious when he was making it. "A rose by any other name smells just as sweet''.
