I am fascinated by numerology and its accuracy on time lines. With numerology it predicted a time for intellectual growth during late sixties and early seventies so far the predictions have been true. I experienced the growth in my early twenties. I don't know if this a natural phenomenon for everyone but it has hit home for me.

Numerology and astrology are part of the occult. The occult is part of satan’s domain. As such, you will find yourself getting sucked into a darker and darker place, the more you take part of this. Not my opinion, but what others have shared that have been involved in occult activities.

As to predestination, I definitely believe in some form of this. The many fulfilled prophesies of the Bible support this. But on a personal level I believe we have free will and our own personal predestined path may (or may not) be adjusted based on or choices. I do not believe God is “locked in” to one path for us, nor obliged to change our destiny, because God is God after all, and is not locked in by anything.

No, they are not part of the occult. It is interesting to engage oneself in them, but not to believe all of it. If you don't get dependent, it is no problem at all. The people who are dependent of all the so called truth by their state are in much greater danger.

It's crap. It can be fun to imagine that there might be some reality to it, but it's just superstition at best. I agree that it's one more thing the dishonest will use to justify points they want to gin up "support" for.

I suspect that taboos and labels like "the occult" are misunderstood remnants of ancient dumbed down for the masses public relations campaigns to get people to let go of stupid, unproductive, and dangerous notions.

I think there are many such misunderstood rules and laws passed down from remote ancient times, both prohibitions and exhortations. They came about to counter negative trends that humans learned the hard way were dangerous. We see distorted remnants of these in both custom and the scripture of many religions.

The details aren't discussed publicly or published even though scholars are aware of them and their substance. We are in censorious times the like of which the West hasn't seen since Galileo and The Inquisition. The Age of Enlightenment... has gone out.

I asked AI.... yeah, I know, I know. But as much as I dislike AI, it's there. The answer:
"Yes, numerology is often considered part of the occult. It involves the belief in a mystical or divine relationship between numbers and events or characteristics in a person’s life12. Numerology is similar to other divinatory arts like astrology and tarot, which are also classified under the occult"

Numerology, astrology, etc. rely on some kind of unexplained magical way they work, which is pretty questionable. As to their accuracy, I remember those TV psychics. They'd say, " I'm getting a message from John. Anyone know a 'John' who has passed over?" And out of an audience of 300, someone would claim that they had a nephew whose wife had a cousin named "John". Amazing, what a great psychic.
As far as predestination, take a look at all the candidates running for offices in the world, does that really look like there's some great designing force?

Yep. They're occult light, they are to witchcraft and Satanism as marijuana to heroin. Gateway drugs.

IMO, they are superstitions. Believe in them as one will. It’s not my place to judge. But, I don’t fear Friday the 13th or black cats. The stars are for visiting some day, by future generations of humans. Stars have no effect on my life.

I had a bad experience with astrology when in college. I was no lady killer, but I met a gal in a class and we got along well studying together and having lunch at the student union. So I asked her out. She was pleased but then asked my what sign I was born under. I told here. OOPS! She did not get along well with people born under that sign, so she cut off our blooming friendship. Poor lonely me spent the rest of the quarter being lonely on Saturday nights. Thankfully it was already near the end of the quarter. :)

Just enough truth to get you hooked. Enough to buy the books and go to the seminars. Soon your spirit guide will come knockin'. Don't know what happens next because I didn't want anything to do with a spirit guide. There's always something else, like multi-level marketing. Got rid of the books, and quit caring enough to know what transitioning to my higher self meant.

This stuff goes back to Biblical times and probably even before that. Certain numbers or combinations of numbers have always been considered "magic" or at least symbolic of various things.

3 is a special number, apparently, getting into many fairy tales, ghost stories, and the Catholic religion.
18 is a special number in the Jewish religion. It represents life, as the first letter of the Hebrew word for life is the 18th letter.
Friday the 13th is, of course, bad luck. Good Friday? 13 at the table for the Last Supper?
7 seems to be special also, though I've never understood why. There's the Biblical explanation of the 7 days in the week, on the 7th day God rested, etc., but I think the magic of the number 7 goes back before the Bible.

Fascinating, and of course I believe that stuff is all a lot of nonsense.

Some people may be at a low point in their lives and out of desperation, turn to the paranormal. Lets not judge them. I am not saying this is all fake, because I myself have experienced some unexplained events that have rattled me. If you choose to become involved, just use it as a tool – don’t immerse your whole being and completely depend on it before you make any major decisions.

People who engage themselves into life predictions are suseptical to fake news
