I'm psychic and have been since childhood. I noticed my gift got much stronger in 1968 after I had my son. Once he told me that my brain is "weird" and I promptly told him it's his fault.
I've always felt the need to tell my premonitions (some frightening) to someone or some people. They often came in dreams or "knowings". And when the events happened, the people I told about them would say that they remembered when I told them these things would happen. Knowings are thoughts that just pop into my head about something that will happen. They usually interrupt other thoughts, I've learned not to second guess them anymore.
The most frightening "knowing" I had was in 1972 when I was 25. It was that someone I loved dearly, a male, was going to die. For three months, I was so frightened about the impending event. I talked about it at work and it prompted a co-worker to tell me that his father had a premonition about his own death. I went out clubbing one night with my (then) BFF Marilyn (may she R.I.P.) and told her about it. She thought I was crazy.
The next day my beloved cousin Ronnie, who was like a brother to me, drowned in one of the N.J. lakes. Ronnie was older than me by 3 months. Our families were always visiting each other, so we were close since childhood. When I called Marilyn and told her, she couldn't believe it.
His death devastated me and shook a whole lot of other people too. At his wake, I was crying so hard when suddenly I felt like these giant arms were hugging me and it calmed me immediately. When I turned around to see who it was, there was no one behind me. After he died, I can only compare the fear that became a reality to having a boil that kept getting bigger, then burst. Ronnie, an air force vet, was a lot of fun and so well liked. Not only did Gregory Hines look so much like him, his character in Running Scared reminded me of Ronnie's personality. I miss Ronnie every single day.
