Prescription delays... anyone else?

My local pharmacy used to refill my prescriptions like clockwork. I called in my latest prescription last Friday and received an automated message saying it would be ready on Monday. It is now Tuesday, and I haven't received a text from the pharmacy saying it has been filled. I had to call re: my last prescription to ask that they move me up the line because I was going out of town and needed it. The pharmacy manager recently retired, and it seems there is just no one minding the store these days.

Is anyone else seeing these issues or should I change pharmacies?

My pharmacy never has one of our meds, becAause it is so expensive. We normally have a wait of 2 days to get it.

I would check other options if you. I get mine--both Rx and OTC medical stuff from Humana online pharmacy. Living rural it is a good option for me. Both those and my CPAP supplies which come from the equipment provider come in very timely manner. I think most USPS facilities try to prioritize medical shipments.

My Humana insurance even gives me an 'allowance' each quarter that is generous and covers all of monthly OTC vitamins/minerals and basic first aid and pain relief stuff i get from their online OTC pharmacy.

Prescription delays... anyone else?

No delays.....yet

Couple low dose BP meds

But, when I renewed, I got the entire year's supply

The pharmacist asked me three times if I was sure I wanted them all at once.
Told her, yes.
The third time I told her, 'yeah, you have 'em in stock now, but what about in 90 days?'
She quit asking

I registered online with Shopper's Drug Mart (Canada) .. they're very prompt with refilling scripts. I heard recently that the branch I go to, which is inside a small mall, is going to be demolished within the next year or so. There is another one closer to me, but I like this one :(

There was a problem with stocking the CVS I go to for awhile--awhile back. It's gotten better. They told me when that happened it was due to COVID. Seems everyone says everything is due to COVID now a days. Sounds like a good excuse or maybe not.

All my local pharmacies, of any type, are all experiencing a lot of delays, and less available services, due to their staff shortages, and that they have been expected to do more. Covid vax, boosters, Flu vax, Pneumonia vax, scripts, covid tests....
It wouldn't help to change pharmacies, if any of your areas are like mine, in that regard.

Yes.
Walgreens' forgot my order all together.
They said it was out of stock, it would be in by Thursday. Haven't heard from them since.

It's been about 2 wks now.
I just went to an independent pharmacy and got it the next day!

My daughter has been having trouble getting her thyroid medicine for over a week now. She stops in every day and they only give her 2 pills. They said their shipment might come in by Monday.
