When we were little my Mother and Grandmother made mountains of cut out sugar cookies for every holiday.

The axe came in handy for President’s Day and Thanksgiving.

I was so upset when they combined the 2 two days to one. My oldest son was born On Washington's bday.
My mom was scared I was going to name him George because I love my American history facts. I didn't.

Before President's Day became a thing Washington's Birthday was also a State holiday in WA. Of course the "unwashed urchins" of my vintage thought it uproariously funny to call it George Birthington's Washday.

Feb 16th was my mum's birthday. If she was still alive this one would be her 106th birthday. However, she left us back in 2005 when she was 85.

President's Day is awesome. It is a day regular people can lie, cheat, steal, forget morality and decency, avoid and deny accountabilty, and generally behave in a despicable way like our leaders without guilt.

It's interesting that GWB has gotten a bit of integrity since he left office. He can't undo the damage he caused, though.
