Price of a new gas stove

What would you expect to pay for a new 30 inch, free-standing, convection oven with a 4-burner cooktop, that uses LP gas? I looked online at a local appliance store and there were none under $2000!

I googled this for curiosity's sake and they all seem to run around $900. Which is a lot of $ IMO

Maybe the convection oven makes it more expensive.

Hooking up a gas stove to LP requires different valves and regulators than natural gas. However, if you check out some of the Big Box stores, such as Lowe's, they could probably have the stove delivered and properly installed, by a licensed installer for half the price you saw at your local store.

It depends upon the "amount" of business a store does. A store which sells more can get a discount from the manufacturer, and charge the customer less, while still maintaining their profit margin.

One important thing to always remember, Deb, more often than not, you get what you pay for.

When it comes to buying appliances I am interested in only one thing, does it do what I want it to do and nothing more. Bells & whistles are for churches and referees. I try "Scratch & Dent" stores first. It is amazing how one little dent or scratch puts appliances in the graveyard to sell for less than half price.
