Yesterday was a very productive day for our Republican Senators and Representatives..

Apparently they voted down a Bill that would prevent people on the "No Fly" list from purchasing guns including assault weapons..and large volume clips.

Have passed a bill through the Senate repealing the ACA AND defunding Planned Parenthood

Aren't you comforted by the fact Republican lawmakers have their priorities in order? Good job!!

And with that... I will try to push aside my very obvious disgust for these people and have a lovely weekend... Hope you do too.. knowing how hard these people are working and seeing your tax dollar at work..... keeping you safe!! ahahahahaha
 

Ho-hum just another day in our Congress.....Republicans doing their thing, day in and day out.
 

After 6 years of wasteful spending it is about time for reality. Something missing for 6 years now so this year was an effort at reality. I don't think we will find it till after the election. No matter who gets elected.

Seems to me that it was only in Nov. of 2014 that Republicans gained control of the house and senate. So, how come the Dems did nothing about gun control while a majority??
 
Its amazing, people keep complaining about the way their politicians vote in D.C. and yet they keep re-electing them.
Some of these guys have been there over 10-15 years, another reason we need term limits like the President
Obama is not the problem, its Congress.

I think term limits would be a GREAT idea. Congress, of late, doesn't do anything but collect a paycheck and their great medical plans (and go on vacation).

I have to say that Ryan is looking at this realistically, people in American can't be stripped of their rights just because some crazy hateful person decides to kill people. He's also spot on in mentioning the mental illness involved in these shootings, something too many people are turning a blind eye to.

Ryan said government officials put people on such lists without any due legal process and so denying those listed the right to bear arms would violate their rights."People have due process rights in this country," he said.
He said that if someone is suspected of plotting an attack, law enforcement officials should arrest them.

As far as the ACA and Planned Parenthood, my opinion is they should just back off. The ACA has benefited many Americans, including myself. I only wish that the President could have just jumped into Single Payer/Universal Healthcare, but I guess with things like this, baby steps are needed to move forward.
