Does any one, (males mostly), besides me have absolutely zero interest in sports? I just don't understand why anyone would get any kind of thrill about anothers accomplishments. Especially as useless as a sporting contest.

I remember the guys at work after game day, patting one another on the back high fiving, crowing about what "we" had done. I did ask once if anyone owned a piece of the francise and got a blank stare. I found out that pointing out that sitting on your ass in front of a tv doesn't give you the right to be "we" , didn't make me popular.

They are paid, very well paid, entertainers, and I enjoy watching some of them as I do pop singers, actors, musicians and similar entertainers, but sports stars they are not.

Sport is what takes place in a hundred thousand parks and bits of waste ground across the world on Saturdays and Sundays.

I like sports although I am female. Considering some of the types of shows on TV today, I just as soon spend my TV time watching sports. I dislike some of these reality shows, I refuse to live in la-la land. Sports are more entertaining.

I enjoy sports and I'm female. Not a fanatic though. I especially like to watch the World Cup which is every 4 years (football/soccer).

I followed sports much closer at a younger age. I don't care too much about outcomes. More interested in the details of why and how. Even then finding out or realizing the extent of cheating or true character of many of these athlete entertainers that are put up on a pedestal I can't get as excited about the big events or games anymore.

I'm a girl, but I think way too much is made of sports. I'd rather money in schools go to support art and music. In a choir a lot more people can participate. I notice at universities a lot of people get together for tailgate parties, get drunk and drive away after the games. It's a place to stay away from.

The ancient Romans had their Gladiators....today we have professional sports. It's all about "entertaining" the "masses", and keeping their minds from being occupied with things that Really Matter.
