Public urination speeding the deterioration of older buildings in Baltimore

Same problem in Los Angeles. In downtown Los Angeles there is one public bathroom available at Pershing Square, a smallish L.A. version of NY's central park. And that is all the public restrooms there are. So the simple solution is to build and maintain public restrooms throughout the area. Problem solved. But, not. Too easy. There are all sorts of ifs, ands, and buts that are thrown in by 'concerned' groups and agencies which means the simple solution is impossible. So the problem continues.
 
Uric acid can be quite corrosive. In small, occasional amounts, however, it can be cleansing. When my lazy dog urinated on a patch of my patio, I noticed that when it dried, the dark discoloration caused by age and weathering had been lightened, almost as if it had been power-washed! Now if only I could train my dog to relieve herself on a different patio patch each time, I’d have it made! 😸

Yes a political swipe slipped in but urine among other things will cause damage over time. Uric acid keep word being acid. Sometime certain minerals could cause a reaction along with mold etc.

This is the second time today I've seen a news story posted, and I find it riddled with right wing nonsense. People really do need to check the sources they're using. Or perhaps they're well aware, and they're just right wingers who want to twist everything into a problem on the Left. It's essentially hate-mongering, turning American against American. It's a disgrace.

Now, this problem is actually real, and it's not just Baltimore. But to even remotely suggest it's political in nature is ridiculous.
 
Baltimore has over 15,000 abandoned properties rotting away. I doubt that taking a wiz on a couple of them is not Baltimore's biggest problem, nor do I think it is the cause of the collapse of Western Civilization
And who seriously believes there's thousands of guys taking a wiz on the same exact brick? 🤔
Most can't hit the toilet twice.

Homeless and druggies tend to hang out at the same locations in many cities which frequently are the older more run down parts of town ie older buildings/materials.
 
People have been peeing on buildings for centuries in other parts of the world!

Hey, maybe that's why part of the Roman colosseum wall fell off? Maybe they pissed away Hadrian's wall in Britain? Goodness knows what happened in China!
