I do it all the time. The only hiding places I never forget are for the goodies I stash away in the bottom of the freezer or in the back of the cabinet. My hubby has offered to hide them for me but they wouldn't be safe with him either.

Yes, me! Then I have to buy a replacement and when I figure out where I want to keep it, I discover that is where the missing item was!

Today, while cutting up some vegetables, I paused a moment to do something else. Then when I returned to the vegetables I could not find the knife I was using.
I looked all over the counter tops, under the dish towel, in the dish drain rack, etc. before giving up and reaching for a new knife. That was the point at which I realized the original knife I looked everywhere for was in my left hand all along!
I don’t even have to put something away in a safe place to lose it.

I used to do that. Then I started putting things where I could find them easier. Either way I will forget where I put it. Even if it is in plain sight....Who puts things in a safe place...
