Put things in a safe place and then forget the safe place

I used to do that. Then I started putting things where I could find them easier. Either way, I will forget where I put it. Even if it is in plain sight.🤨
It is all due to information overload, passwords, and news.

Getting upset about not finding my readers while still on my face.

Now that's bad, or having two of everything because you forgot you bought it already or can't find it

We are not losing it.
Time to turn on the ignore Sign.

Every time I put something in a safe place I tell myself I shouldn’t but do it anyway. Don’t find it until I’m looking for something else’s safe place or buy a new one if it’s something replaceable.

When I lose things, I can never find them. What I have to do, is clean the whole house, top to bottom. Then, I find things.

I have a feeling the lost items are working in collusion with my wife, to force me to clean up more.

Oh no! It IS my wife! She is stealing stuff and hiding it, so I clean the rooms!

All these years, I have been a complete idiot!!!

I have a system - I keep Christmas stuff in a large red plastic tote, Halloween stuff in a black one, Easter stuff in a green one. They're neatly stacked in my closet along with my fabrics and remnants tote, which is blue.
I have the Easter and Halloween together and I don't have much. I have so much Christmas that I don't have any trouble finding it.

I have no idea where my "safe" place is. The devil himself must rule over it cuz I can't find the darned thing. But I do find troves of lost treasures every time I do a thorough cleaning. I've been spring cleaning the past week and have found all sort of lost/misplaced goodies. 🤗

I'll need something, so I go to where I keep them. And they're not there. So I search everywhere, and keep searching where I think they should be. You never know, they might just pop up out of thin air. NOPE, nothing, nada. So, I go to the store , and get one. When I go to put it away, there are three of them, just sitting there. It's magic.

We have a shared big metal lock box in the bedroom that holds our "important stuff ". I also maintain a notebook in which I list things that I have stored away with their actual physical location. JimB.

I'm just spending too much time worrying about getting me and Huzz into a safe place. Ha. (I do misplace a lot of things though, most recently a safe deposit box key, sigh.)
