I have seen pj bottoms on guys and some young girls and I could swear I have seen some slippers but you won't catch me wearing them out in public. To each his own I say.

I really don't mind seeing this (we have it in the US, too, Rose... running joke about people going to WalMart like that
) but I don't mind it because I've seen dudes' pants barely being held up over their backsides (and sometimes actually down over)... and I've seen micro shorts that show stuff the wearer probably doesn't know is being displayed when they bend over. I've seen shirts with things nearly popping out and it's a lot worse seeing random bits and pieces I don't care to see than someone in their jammies.

Good point, it's kind of 23.5/7. Have a shower every morning and put on clean.

This trend started a few years back and I remember some celebrities played into it. I think it's just plain tacky! I don't care who does it.

I'd rather see pjs than the display I saw a few weeks ago at, where else, Walmart.
A young woman in a very very short cut-off tshirt was bouncing down the aisle, without a bra. Every bounce resulted in now-you-see-them-now-you-don't. She knew exactly what she was doing....
Soooo, pjs don't look all that bad.

I recall the postings "People of Walmart" and there's a picture of a 65+ year old man, with a vest on, open and he's got breasts.... The title was "Yes and he's male" never came so close to washing my eyes with bleach.....

She wanted to buy some food, so I took her to a nearby supermarket.
Our Kate was always very proper, so you can imagine when, infront of us a young man stacking shelves had the top half of his bottom sticking out of his pants, then he bent down to pick something up and the whole of his bum popped out of his trousers.
Well, our Kate, was aghast with shock, then she blurted out, "Lord preserve us all, that mucky b*gger is showing all of his a*se, and just look at the sh*tty skid marks."

In addition to other factors mentioned, I think the relative low price of todays cheap imported clothes plays a role. 60 years ago, clothing was very expensive so it was a status symbol of sorts. If an adult showed up in jeans and a tshirt it was assumed that they could not afford much else.
