You laugh, but my niece actually has somewhat this setup. She lives on 160 acres of wilderness in the mountains above where I live. She has had two husbands for many years, but right now only has one. She has a beautiful home, but there is no electricity (they have a generator) and no indoor plumbing. They have a large outhouse that is the size of a large bathroom and it has side by side toilet seats. We just shake our heads and chuckle....

It`s pretty crazy. Her first husband she married (legally) when she was 18-had been with him since she was 14. He was 16 years older than her. My brother flipped out when he found out they were dating so they kept it secret for 4 years. Anyway, they married and had a son right away. About 5 years into the marriage, she was in a play and met this other guy. I have to say here that she lives a very "hippy" lifestyle in a town that embraces all of this stuff. Anyway, she then moved him up to their property and they were "married" in their own "ceremony"-not legal,of course. Her husband and this new guy became the best of friends and they all lived happily for many years. Then she and her legal hubby decided to divorce-they lost their only child in a car accident when he was 16 and it affected them both very deeply. But hubby still lived with them. Then she and second "hubby" ended their relationship as well-although he also continued to live on their mountain (and in fact still does,in a separate house.) My niece is a "Yogi" and was teaching yoga at a "retreat" (read nudist resort) here in my county, and met this new guy and moved HIM to her mountain. That only lasted a couple of years and they now do not even speak-although he,too, still lives up there. Now she has a new love. I haven`t met him-probably won`t. Her legal husband, now ex,also moved off the mountain and into town. We all just kind of roll our eyes.....Aren`t you glad you asked? :)
