Quebec palliative care facility to provide first doctor assisted suicide

I am fully FOR assisted suicide for the terminally ill who have no hope for recovery. It seems far more humane to allow a person to go peacefully than to subject them to weeks and months of pain and suffering. Even if a person has all the paperwork, such as living wills, and medical powers of attorney, in order, some bureaucrat will still find some way to circumvent a dying persons wishes.

That' a prime fault within our system. Bureaucrats perpetuating their existence as such. They ponderously insist that every one of their efforts are made with betterment in mind for their constituency. Bull-roar! imp

New Mexico is still in a battle over it in the courts. I hope we make it available here, especially after watching my niece die so horribly early this year. I see absolutely no point at all in prolonging terminal suffering. And the patient should have the choice to end it.
