Question About Cellular Telephones

Sure, one is the phone line, one is to the computer, and the other plugs into the power bar.
The only problem I have is since I turned on wifi months ago, I can't figure out how to get rid of it. Don't need it, don't want it.
To get rid of it you have to access your router from your computer and get into the configuration menu. Your provider should be able to help you. I have done it once.

I have a flip phone. (I've been told it as up to date as a Conestoga wagon.) I pay a rather hefty price for "connections" to the outside world. We've all seen video of hungry kids in undeveloped lands. And all have their small hands clutching a cellphone- a much better cell phone than mine. So I'm wondering why is phone service so cheap to some, that starving kids can have phones?
Excuse me, I have to make a phone call, "Wagons, HO!!"

You have to shop around. I drop $10 on my PagePlus cellular account, a "pay-as-you-go" plan, activation of my former Verizon LG Cosmos feature phone. That $10 last me 4 months, so we're talking $2.50/mo. cost wise.

Right. I have a smartphone, which I bought a couple years ago. I have a pay as you go plan where I just buy blocks of minutes. $25 worth will last me 6 months or so. I don't have a monthly plan where I pay every month because they're too expensive and I do not talk on my cell phone much. I am not a big fan of being on the phone for long periods of time -- I did that WAY too much back when I worked. My cell phone is for such calls as "help, I have a flat tire," or "help, I'm trying to find your office but I'm lost," or, when I take my sister to Wal-Mart , for "You done yet? Where are you?"

I also use it as an alarm clock, because for a reason I don't quite understand, the little ditty it plays reliably wakes me up, though I'm prone to sleep through regular alarm clocks' buzzing or ringing.

Yes, when I'm using the printer. I don't keep it attached when I'm not using it.
But when I first got the printer I thought it'd run by wifi- that's why I turned wifi on.
If it is a wireless printer you can use it with the wireless router. It takes a program that you download to your computer to print with. It can 'find' the wireless printer.

Wired, or wireless(wifi) is just methods of transmission. You will always need a wired connection to connect with your providers hardware. To connection to devices line computers, phones, printers etc. You can go wireless (wifi) or hardwired , usually cat 5 or 6 cabled. If you want wifi off, turn it off. Usually a button on the router. The wired connections still work, but the wifi radio signal is turned off. In my home I have a lot of smart home features, so my home has data cable ruining to all rooms through the walls. I also use wifi for phones, light switches, and electrical outlets, and echo dots. If your happy with whatever setup you have, that's all that counts. If you want your wifi off, post your service provider and router brand and model and I can probably tell you how to turn it off.

If you are not using your wireless, sell it to your neighbour. He can connect and you cut your expenses.

He needs the password. If he's not paying you then change the password. :daz:

Well, my modem says 'wireless' on it, but it still requires 3 cords... :eek:nthego:

O.K. What you have is a wireless router that is not being used for wireless functions. What you have is a router that is hard wired with cables to the functions being used.

And as Seinfeld would say. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
