Country music singer Mel Tillis has died today at the age of 85 from suspected respiratory failure following a long bout of ill health.
The singer, known for his 1970s hits I Ain't Never, Good Woman Blues, and Coca-Cola Cowboy, died early on Sunday morning at Munroe Regional Medical Center in Florida.
His representative Don Murry Grubbs confirmed the sad news, echoed by Mel's daughter Pam Tillis, who said in a statement: "Pam's father was dearly loved and one of a kind."
