R.I.P Our Beloved Queen Elizabeth ... please leave your comments or memories here

I lived almost three years in London (in Chelsea and Swiss Cottage). and two years in Oxford and about six months in Glastonbury. Time in my head is starting to get forgetful and confused. I also lived in West Berlin for about six months & a year in Zurich. The plane rides I took were SO
CHEAP (around $100 round trip), I was known to fly back to NYC whenever I missed the folks, but retained my residences so I went from home to home. I'm a Cancer, so I carry my home on my back! Everywhere I went was home.

I have loved England since I was a small girl. I love the history, the literature, etc. While I feel very connected, I can't say I have more knowledge than other Americans, just very deep feeling.

When I was about 17 I was hypnotized and did a past life regression. I insisted I had the same first name, lived in Canterbury, and my husband was a tradesman, don't remember what trade all these years later. OK, cute story, but a few years later actually went to Canterbury and Did Not Need a Map. Freaked my travelling companion right out! Me too. Very sobering moment.
Wow , Chelsea and Swiss Cottage , such an expensive and refined part of London….x

I loved to watch Prince Louis at the Jubilee, either on the balcony, or next to his mother, or asking to sit on his grandfather's knee! I also love the way Princess Charlotte looks over and takes care of her little brother! It's truly a lovely family! ❤

Who wouldn't love this little boy?

yes we all saw that at the time... the noise of the Red arrows flying overhead is excruciatingly loud.. I know because they flew over my house that same day on the way back to Base.. and Louis age 4 would have seen them for the first time in his little life.. and acted like any other child would have at that age.. not naughty at all..

I sorta liked the picture, that's why the smiley! And remembering my own youth, boys are not always angels anyway, yet manage to be cute at the same time! I was adorable, if I do say so myself!

The palace has released a photo today on what would have been the Queen's 97th Birthday

Last year just weeks before she died in September Catherine ( Princess of Wales who is the unoffical photographer for the Palace ).. took this photo of the Queen in a causal setting along with all of her great grandchildren .. ( all that wanted to be there which didn't include the gruesome twosome and their brood)..

For those who are interested in knowing... Starting back left...the eldest GGC Lady Louise Mountbatten Windsor and her brother James.. children of Prince Edward ( Charles youngest brother) and Sophie now Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh since the Queen's death..

Second row,, Lena Tindall ( daughter of Zara and Mike, Zara daughter of Princess Anne ) ...next prince George, William and Catherines' eldest son, and future king.. Princess Charlotte, his sister .. then Isla Phillips.. daughter of princess Annes' son Peter... then on the end is the really cute and charismatic 4 year old youngest son of prince William and Catherine ; Prince Louis

Bottom row... Mia Grace ..Eldest daughter of Zara & Mike Tindall.. and her baby brother on her lap.. Lucas... , and on the Queen's left is Peter Philips eldest daughter.. Savannah Philips..
This is a lovely photo of our late Queen with her g grandchildren but I do find it sad that her two other g grandchildren were not part of this occasion. Through no fault of their own when they grow older and see this they will have hurt feelings. Those children will be scarred from their parents dealings with the RF and the publicity surrounding their exit. They could have such a wonderful life growing up with all their cousins, life is not fair sometimes and the children suffer. it is not right.

If you believed in reincarnation one might think in that first photo that Louis is his Grandmother Diana, reincarnated , the way he's looking at Camilla... :ROFLMAO:
You know, that's what I thought as well! Talking about Camilla, apparently, according to a book that just came out recently, she is far nicer than she has been portrayed by the press as "the other woman" who destroyed a marriage!

yes we keep getting fed that from the Palace .. to the Media.. they're hardly likely to say Oh btw , your new Queen is a horrible old so-and so.. are they ?..lol..they want the public to like her , so tha spin machine is working in overdrive

Anyway I think perhaps she's nice enough in her own circles.. she got what she wanted.. and she continues to get what she wants.. so I feel manipulative would be one way to describe her, as well as an adulterer.. but there.. perhaps she's very nice.. but not to other women..

You might very well be right, since I don't belong to the inner circle and am dependent on what I read in the news!

We have lost our Queen of 70 years... age 96 years old... the real queen of our hearts...

Today we have a new King.. who will be crowned shortly...

For now we pay tribute to the most hard working woman and Sovereign the country has ever known .. a woman who never flitched from Duty... a loyal wife and mother...

May she R. I. P ..

This beloved queen was the only reason I was a monarchist here in Canada!
