Peter Fonda has died aged 79 after suffering respiratory failure from lung cancer.
The actor, best known for his role in 1969 film Easy Rider, died Friday morning at his California home.
Referring to the iconic movie he co-wrote and starred in, his family asked the world to 'raise a glass to freedom'.

Peter was the younger brother of actress Jane Fonda and son of Henry Fonda

The more I learn of people dying that I walked with in my youth the more I have to fight off bad feelings about my own time remaining. Dying of cancer or other diseases that punish before death are on my MOST WANTED list. It took only a slap on my but to give me life so be kind of enough to let me pass in the same way.
